Terms of service
Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. The agreement
These terms govern use of DeviceDesk's websites, console, and device software. By creating a workspace you accept them on behalf of your organisation.
2. Your responsibilities
You manage devices you own or are authorised to manage, and you monitor only machines and people you are legally entitled to monitor, with any notice or consent your jurisdiction requires. Remote actions — lock, wipe, restriction changes — are powerful; you are responsible for how your admins use them.
3. Acceptable use
- No enrolling devices you don't own or lack authority over.
- No use of Monitor for covert surveillance of individuals.
- No reselling the service without a written agreement.
- No probing, disrupting, or reverse-engineering the service, except as law permits.
4. Billing
Paid plans bill per active device or Monitor seat, monthly or annually. Fees are non-refundable except where law requires; you can cancel any time and retain access for the paid period.
5. Availability & support
We target high availability but the service is provided "as is" without a specific SLA except on Enterprise plans that include one. A device that cannot reach the service continues to enforce its last-applied policy.
6. Data
Your workspace's data is yours. Our privacy policy describes what we process and how. On closure you may export your data; we delete it after the legally required retention period.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including data loss from a wipe your workspace initiated.
8. Termination
We may suspend workspaces that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. You may close your workspace at any time from the console.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are emailed to workspace owners 30 days before they take effect.
